A symposium on the poets of the Pushtimarg was held on January 09, 2023 at the Geeta Research Institute and Rasleela Academy. The speakers discussed the relevance of the compositions of all the eight poets of the Ashtachhap, including Surdas, and the restoration of their pilgrimage sites. They also presented written articles on each poet, which were published in the January 2023 issue of the Braj Lok Sampada. Prior to the symposium, Dr. Umesh Chandra Sharma, a cultural specialist of Braj from the Uttar Pradesh Braj Tirth Vikas Parishad, and the assistant engineer of the Parishad, Doodhnath Singh, visited the pilgrimage sites of all the poets and prepared a report.
